Wales

The land of song and poetry, that has inspired famous sons like Dylan Thomas, Tom Jones and Richard Burton. A land of dramatic scenery and intense beauty. A land where Welsh, the oldest European language, is still in daily use. A language with seemingly impossible words and name places that you will soon learn to pronounciate.

There are four mountain ranges in this small country, its most renowned being the Snowdonia National Park of 1,300 sq. km., a mountainous paradise of breathtaking majesty with wild steep sided mountains, lovely passes, hidden lakes and tumbling waterfalls. In the centre of Wales are the Cambrian Mountains, wild, bare slopes falling to tranquil lakes and fast flowing rivers. To the south are the Brecon Beacons and close by are the Black Mountains, an area of high moorlands ideal for walking and pony trekking.

This is a country of over 100 castles, beautiful sandy beaches and tranquil harbours, and of vast sea scapes on a unique and varied coastline. Enjoy medieval towns like Conwy or an elegant seaside resort like Llandudno. Wales offers everything to the tourist and more.
