The Dixcart Bay Hotel has been beautifully restored. Sitting above the shaded wooded valley that descends towards the sheltered beach at Dixcart Bay, Sark's oldest hotel and one time haunt of France's great author and poet, Victor Hugo, offers modern service and luxury, but with the charm and elegance of earlier times.
Snuggled within the valley, the hotel provides a comfortable base from which to wander and explore the nearby vineyards, the wooded paths and the coastline looking towards Jersey.
The cuisine is based upon the availability of Sark's own wonderful produce from the gardens, lush pastures and abundant sea. Food and snacks are served informally at Hugo's Bar and Bistro while fine-dining can be enjoyed in the conservatory restaurant that overlooks the sloping lawn: this magical setting merges gradually with the woods, a mystical backdrop to a wonderful place.
Guests can use the restaurants and facilities of the other Sark Island Hotels, including a snooker club and two swimming pools. Guests staying on half-board have the freedom to dine at the restaurants of the other Sark Island Hotels. They are also invited to visit the magnificent Jubilee Gardens on the neighbouring island of Brecqhou - complimentary to those staying two nights or more.
B&B from ú80 per person based on two sharing,
